MUMC tries to reach everyone with news, schedules and events associated with the church. Information can be gained in the following four ways:

  • Facebook-real time news posted by and for church members
  • Bulletin-this printed publication is available at every service

We Need You!
A “backwoods Crew” is being organized to plan and develop the 17 acres behind of woods behind our church into an area to enjoy Gods great outdoors. Rich Heaton has agreed to work with the crew in planning and organizing the work. The plan is to get all the details ironed out over the winter so they work can begin quickly in the spring. Please sign up in the entry area if you are interested. Look for meeting details prior to the holidays.

Parents Night Out
There will be a Senior High youth lock-in on Friday evening December 20th at 5:30pm until 8:00am on Saturday morning. On the same evening there will also be a Shopping Night for parents for children 2 years and up (must be potty trained) from 6:00pm to 9:00pm.

Men’s Retreat –Save the Date
The 2014 Men’s Retreat will be held January 24-26. The topic will be Need Help Balancing-Faith, Family and Work. Please look for additional details in the coming weeks.

Pray on the Way
Make a commitment to pray for our pastors and congregation every Sunday on your way to church. Simply send an email to Dixie at dixie7@zoominternet.net.

Sunday School Update
As always we are in need of teachers for virtually every age group. Your commitment is only once per month and you do not need previous teaching experience. Most classes feature a team format and we do our best to pair the inexperienced with experienced teachers. Please contact Lynne Foster at 330 725-4943 (email is mumc.educ@zoominternet.net) if you are interested in this worthwhile and satisfying endeavor.

In addition there is an 11:00am adult Sunday School class “After the Catch” that takes a look at the biblical text and principles in the pastor’s sermon of the day. Class is held in Room 219. Please contact Bob McElroy at 330 289-2059 for additional details

Food Pantry
It’s Food Drive time again. Please see the bulletin for details each week. To make a donation please look for the specially labeled pink envelopes located in the pews.

Celebrate Recovery 
Celebrate Recovery is a Christ-centered Recovery program that meets on Thursdays from 7:00pm-9:00pm that meets in Rooms 209, 212 and 219.

Annual Community Thanksgiving Dinner
A free Thanksgiving dinner will be held on November 24th. Sign-ups for food and volunteering will be in the Galleria starting in late October. Monetary donations are also welcome (please mark Thanksgiving Dinner in the memo line of your check).

Radical Roses
The Radical Roses (Grades 4-6) meet weekly. Please check the church bulletin for the latest events or contact Libby Whipple (330 722-0633) or Shelley Barker (330 722-7912) for additional details.

Wednesday Night is Community Night

Live from Medina UMC…It’s Wednesday Night!A brand new WNC has premiered from 6pm (café opens) to 7:30pm with a variety of options including:

Dr Dave’s Bible Study is in Room 219. The program is currently studying the Book of Joshua.

Womens Beth Moore study is in Room 209. The group is currently viewing and discussing “Beloved Disciples: The Life and Ministry of John.

Confirmation class is in Room 204. This program involves 7th and 8th graders. Please note if your child is in the 7th grade please call the ministry office at 330 725-4943 or sign up on the sheet in the entry area.

Kids Choir is practicing in the Sanctuary. They are preparing for the holiday presentation of The Night Shift Before Christmas.

Treasure Seekers is meeting in Room 210. This program is for parents and ages ranging from 5 to 6th grade that enables everyone to worship, pray, learn about God, what the Bible teaches and where we can find the Treasure.

Prayer Group meets in the Library. Gail Geib leads this holy hour.

What on Earth Am I Here For? meets in Room 212. This is a small group format for adults. The teens small group program meets in Room 208
