Children and Family Ministries

As children sit at the feet of Christ, at Kids in Faith Sunday school each Sunday morning, they hear His words and begin to see Jesus in their own reflections more and more each day. Children of all ages come and grow through fun inter-active learning experiences and hands on ministry. It takes time and a commitment from both the child and the parents to allow this process of “becoming Christ-like” to occur through the work of God’s Holy Spirit. Here at Medina UMC Children & Family Ministry, we are called to walk through this process with you and your child, to identify the gifts they receive for service in Christ’s name and to teach them how to use them in an effective way. With Christ, children are free to become the best versions of themselves.  That’s when they “become" the best they can be and who they are called to be in Christ Jesus. What a blessing and a joy it is to serve a risen Savior in the world today!

Check in early with the KidCheck button on the home screen of our church app
When you arrive, you can collect your sticker at the welcome center
Check in upstairs for 1st-6th grade students
Check in next to the nursery for nursery-kindergarten ages (0-6)

OUR PROGRAMS

Nursery

Ages Birth- 3 Years
Childcare available at the 9  o'clock and 10:30 services with a special curriculum for toddlers- age 3.

Kids in Faith: Preschool

Ages 4-Kindergarten
Kids in Faith meets every Sunday morning at 10:30 AM in room 210.  The kids love learning about God in a hands-on way!

Kids in Faith: Elementary

Grades 1-6
Kids in Faith Elementary meets every Sunday morning at 10:30 AM on the second floor.   There is never a dull moment at Sunday School! 

MomCo

For moms of kids of all ages
Join us on the Third Thursday of the month from 6-8 p.m. We meet using the KidCo curriculum while our moms are enjoying time and fellowship with each other. Generally, on the third weekend of the month, we meet in the community for a fun-filled fellowship.

Vortex

Grades 4-6
Vortex meets twice per month on Sundays from 6-8 p.m. in room 206. Once a month the students have for fun events like sled riding or putt- putt golf, and on the other Sundays, their activities are at the church and are generally mission, service, or game- based. 

Kids Bells and Chimes

Grades 4-6
Meets Sunday mornings from 9:45-10:15 in Room 206

Just 4 Kids

Grades 1-3
Meets on the second sunday of each month from September to May. The meeting is from 11:45 to 1:00 in room 204. We use devotions, crafts, activities, missions, fundraisers, fellowship, and the friendship circle to build community amongst the kids. 

Shining Sunbeams

Pre-K/Kindergarten
We meet the last Sunday of the month from September to May. They join Just 4 Kids for mission, fellowship events, and fundraisers. They also learn about baptism and communion.

VBS

Age 4- Entering Grade 6
VBS is held the third full week of July.
Sunday- Thursday from 6:00 p.m.- 9:00 p.m.

Summer Kids in Faith

Preschool- 6th Grade
Students enjoy a VBS style summer Kids in Faith beginning the first Sunday in June.  Students will enjoy a special worship time, science class, bible stories, and crafts.

Kids Christmas & Easter Musicals

Age 5-6th Grade
These rehearsals are held on Sundays from 11:45-12:30 in room 211. The students practice for a Christmas or Easter Musical (performed for the church in the 10:30 service) along with seasonal crafts and snack time.
