Rob Ziol serves as Associate Pastor at Medina United Methodist Church, where his ministry is rooted in servant leadership, grace, and helping people discover how God is calling them to serve. Rob earned his license as a Local Pastor in The United Methodist Church in June 2026 and plans to continue his theological education through the Course of Study beginning in spring 2027.
Rob has a passion for preaching, worship leadership, discipleship, and community service. His messages draw upon Scripture, personal experiences, and practical illustrations to connect faith with everyday life and encourage people to recognize God's presence in both ordinary and extraordinary moments.
Beyond his ministry, Rob has devoted much of his professional career to public service, leadership development, and mentoring others. He sees servant leadership as a common thread connecting his professional life, his ministry, and his commitment to helping others discover and use their God-given gifts.
Rob has been married to his wife, Janet, for more than 25 years, and together they have two sons, Thomas and David. Family remains an important part of Rob's life and faith journey.
At the heart of Rob's ministry is a simple belief: God calls each of us, equips us through the Holy Spirit, and sends us into the world to be the hands and feet of Jesus Christ.
I am here to help you get involved in our missions / community services, and small groups ministries. I am also here to talk with you about your future in service to our world within, and outside of our church!

Where to begin on what I do here? Organizing and helping the office staff is my primary role here! I also oversee the slides for worship, the email and social media communication for the church, and the millions of odds and ends that take place behind the scenes!

I get the privilege of hanging out with the youth in our church every Sunday, along with our amazing volunteers! Come and join us! I'll bring the pizza, the pop, and the (sometimes random) games. You bring yourselves, just as you are. We'll learn, grow, serve, and have fun together!

"They say you should find a job you love and you'll never work a day in your life.  I have the best seat in the house watching our Kids Grow In Faith.  After 34+ years in the field of Education, I decided to swap lesson plans for parables and have not looked back since!!
       If you want to chat, my door is always open and the coffee is usually brewing!!   So Come On In!!

Medina Weekday Preschool Director
I coordinate and work in the Nursery on Sunday Mornings. I have the best job of all! I get to cuddle and play with the babies and toddlers while their parents are in worship! If you are interested in volunteering in the Nursery at either service please see me.
I coordinate and work in the Nursery on Sunday Mornings with Kaila. I also get to hang with the preschoolers! I have such a fun job. On Sundays you can find me cuddling with the  babies or playing, reading, and coloring  with the preschoolers! 
I just completed my 25th year as MUMC Treasurer! I pay the bills, work on payroll, and work hard at saving MUMC money whenever it is possible. 
 My job involves leading the staff and students of Medina Weekday Preschool. My favorite part of my job is watching young children learn and grow socially, emotionally, and intellectually.
